Advanced Standing & Special Consideration Portal - APEX form troubleshooting

Need assistance signing into the Advanced Standing Portal or Special Consideration Portal? If you can sign into all other university systems, here are some troubleshooting steps you can try!

Issue

An issue has been recently identified affecting account data being passed between systems. This has led to some resources, such as APEX forms, being unable to authenticate user login information. The issue has been investigated and rectified. If you can sign into all other university systems (e.g. my.unimelb, Canvas LMS, etc.) but are having trouble with APEX forms, additional troubleshooting will need to be performed on the user end.

Troubleshooting

  1. Open a new incognito or private browsing window.
  2. Navigate to https://sso.unimelb.edu.au/.
  3. Enter your username.
  4. Click Forgot Password? and verify using Okta Verify or Google Authenticator.
  5. Select a new password.
  6. Wait 15 - 20 minutes.
  7. Sign in to the Advanced Standing Portal using your student username and new password.
    • Ensure that you click on the 'Login' button. (Hitting 'Enter' on your keyboard will not accept your login details correctly.)

The steps above can be used to troubleshoot access issues within the Special Consideration Portal.
