Set up your student account and change or reset your account password.
Common questions

To complete a self-service password reset, you will need to be able to verify using your Multifactor Authentication (MFA) factor.
If you do not have access to MFA factor, you will need to call Student IT to be provided with a temporary password.
- Go to https://sso.unimelb.edu.au/
- Enter your student username
- Click "Next"
- Click on "Forgot password?" underneath the "Verify" button
- Click "Select" next to the security method you would like to verify with (Okta Verify or Google Authenticator)
- After verification you can set a new password that meets the requirements

Graduating students
If you wish to keep a record of your emails and files hosted on Outlook or files saved to your OneDrive, you must download your data before your account is deactivated.
If you used your University Google Drive & Gmail, you must download this data before the service is decommissioned.
Past students (Alumni)
Update external service or third party email addresses before your student account deactivation.
