Unlink your student email address

Your University of Melbourne student email address will be disabled following a 12-month grace period.
Therefore, you will not be able to access or use this address for any third-party authentication purposes after this period.

What you need to do

The University suggests to never use your student email address for any third-party personal login or authentication purposes, including social media platforms or banking accounts.

  1. Remove student email from subscriptions and logins

Proactively remove your student email address from any links, subscriptions, or logins you may have set up, and make other arrangements while you still have access to your student account to complete these processes.

  2. Subscribe to mailing list with a different email address

Link your personal email address or newly formed alumni account address to any mailing lists you may wish to remain subscribed to after you have left the university.
